In the first four months of 2026, I created five murals smaller than what I’m used to.
I enjoyed the experience, as some of them are quite experimental—and that’s exactly what I need right now. I have a series of 50 very complex sketches, and opening myself up to different formats and projects allows me to bring them to life.
Painting large-scale murals has its own challenges: there’s little room for experimentation, and the structure surrounding the work tends to play it safe.
Allowing myself to open up a bit takes me out of my comfort zone—and yes, I think right now I feel a bit too comfortable in that comfort zone. There’s a kind of revolution happening inside me that’s looking to move outward.
“Permanecer estranho” is the mural I created these past few days in Lleida; it’s part of the experimentation I’m currently experiencing. I’m really enjoying it.
En el primer cuatrimestre del 2026 surgieron cinco murales de menor tamaño al que estoy acostumbrado.
Me gustó la experiencia, pues algunos de ellos son bastante experimentales, y esto es lo que necesito ahora. Tengo una serie de 50 esbozos muy complejos, y abrirme a distintos formatos y proyectos hace que pueda realizarlos.
Pintar murales de grandes dimensiones tiene lo suyo: hay poco margen para experimentar y la estructura alrededor de la obra va a lo seguro.
Poder abrirme un poquito me saca de mi zona de confort y, sí, creo que ahora estoy poco confortable en mi zona de confort. Hay una revolución pasando en mi interior que busca desplazarse.
